Back from Leeds Festival 2010

It's been a good weekend at Leeds Festival and I got home a few hours ago now. Damn I'm in a good mood, really cracking mood. As soon as I got home I turned up my speakers, blastest out some Kick In The Teeth by Papa Roach while dancing around like a fool in my boxers. Followed by some air guitaring to Guns n Roses. Following this post I'll be doing my usual day by day review of all the bands I saw but as this was my first Leeds festival I thought I'd do a bit of an overview of the whole festival.

The Free iPhone 4 Bumper

This morning I received my free iPhone 4 bumper case from Apple as part of their free case program. I'm not at all sure how they thought they could charge what they were charging before deciding to give them away. It's made up of pretty much nothing, just a little bit of shaped plastic. Anyway I put it on really just to see what it was like and if it would suit me. I don't have the antenna problem because I firstly don't hold my phone in the way you have to to cause the signal drop and also I have an invisible shield on which includes strips that go around the phone's edge.

Sonisphere 2010 Sunday, Rollins, Pendulum, Funeral For A Friend & Iron Maiden

Sunday's entertainment began, as every Sunday should be started, with the wise words of Henry Rollins. The Bohemia tent was even more packed than it had been for Corey Taylor.

Sonisphere 2010 Saturday, Rammstein & Papa Roach

Saturday is when Sonisphere really kicked off. The main stage was being used and the first band to grace it was... Family Force 5. I was not really looking forward to them

Sonisphere 2010 Friday, Alice Cooper

Sorry! I had every intention to write up my review of Sonisphere 2010 in the days after returning but unfortunately I've been feeling terrible. You know, man-flu. I feel much better now so now I have got to challenge myself to remember all the awesomeness that happened in the three glorious days of Sonis.

Slash - Starlight

Slash is a great guitarist and Myles Kennedy is in one of my favourite bands (Alter Bridge). To be honest I've got quite the man crush of Myles's voice. IT'S AMAZING! Starlight is one of two songs the pair made together for Slash's self titled album and by far my favourite song on the album. Here's the performance from Download 2010.

I Got Rick Rolled On My Birthday!

I got a different type of birthday card from my dad. It's a CD with 20 "hits" from the year I was born (1987). Little did I know (as is ALWAYS the case) I was about to be Rick Rolled!

Download 2010, Sunday, Stone Sour & (the end of) Aerosmith

Sunday was my final day at Download as we were leaving straight after the last act. It was a lovely warm morning with the sun shining over Donnington, it didn't stay that way. The morning meant packing up early so that the two in my car could go see some random, obscure band. So that was was one trip to the car, quick change of footwear from boots to trainers, and then back to camp for the last of the sausages (nom nom nom). Then once more a trip to the cars to help the other guys out before heading in the arena.
