COMPETENCIES
Communications
-
Presentations
As part of a group project and part of my third year project, I have given
presentations relating to specific subjects. In both I achieved a First
class mark.
-
Customer Service at Sainsbury’s
While at Sainsbury’s I assisted customers with all kinds of queries in a polite
and friendly manner. During a staff evaluation a customer that I had helped
made an unprompted effort to tell my supervisor how pleased they were with
my assistance.
Teamwork
-
Group Project
During my second year at university I was involved in two group projects.
Both projects were successful which demonstrated my ability to work well
with others. I achieved a 2:1 and a First.
-
Cooperation with Colleges at Sainsbury’s and The Dovecote
At Sainsbury’s and The Dovecote I worked in teams to ensure work was
completed. At The Dovecote team work was vital during busy periods to make
sure customers got what they ordered within a short time frame and with high
standards.
Organization and Planning
-
Project Management
Projects I have completed and are currently working on have required large
amounts of organization and planning to complete, to meet fixed deadlines
and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
-
Travel Planning
During the summer of 2006 I traveled to Australia for a month and Hong
Kong. As an independent traveler I had to arrange every aspect of this trip as I
travelled alone.
INTEREST
I have a long standing interest in technology. My favorite hobbies include my
websites which I have been running for over 5 years. I also enjoy travelling. During
2006 I spent a month traveling Australia from Cairns to Brisbane. On this trip I
snorkeled on the Great Barrier Reef, sky dived over Rainbow Beach and visited other
amazing places. I particularly enjoyed meeting new people from all over the world.
From Brisbane I flew to Hong Kong where I spent 5 days sightseeing. Going to the
gym is another activity I enjoy. It helps me stay fit and provides relaxation.
